Is Cryotherapy painful?
You will feel a sensation with the initial freezing whilst the Cryotherapy pen is directly spraying onto your skin lesion. When the area thaws out there is a pinching feeling.
How long does it take?
I will allow 20 mins for your appointment to give us chance to discuss and questions you may have and also go over aftercare and discuss expectations for outcome of treatment. The treatment itself is quick and the area will receive 2 or 3 short blasts of cryotherapy lasting 20-30 seconds each.
What should you expect after your Cryotherapy treatment?
Following the treatment the treatment area can develop into a blister however not every area will. The treated area will then start to form a scab. The scab will fall off in 2 to 3 weeks. The area will then begin to heal and at that point you can decide if a another treatment is required or if you are happy with the outcome.
Sometimes more than 2-3 session are required to fully remove the skin imperfection.
Please be aware everyones skin is different so results may vary from person to person.
